Paws & Thanks: A Cozy Fall Guide for Pets🧡

Thanksgiving is all about family, food, and gratitude — and that includes our furry companions. Keep cats and dogs happy and safe this holiday with a few simple tips.

🍂Skip the table treats.   Stick to your pet’s regular food or their favourite pet‑safe snacks. Turkey skin, gravy, and rich sides can upset their stomach. Keep bones, onions, garlic, chocolate, grapes, raisins, alcohol, and anything containing xylitol well out of reach.

🍂Clean up quickly.   Clear leftovers from counters and secure the garbage. Bones, food wrappers, and cooking string can be dangerous if swallowed.

🍂Create a quiet retreat.   Holiday guests can be overwhelming. Set up a cozy space with fresh water, their bed, and a familiar toy. Keep an eye on open doors during arrivals and departures.

🍂Mind the décor.   Place candles, floral arrangements, and decorations where curious noses and wagging tails can’t reach. Double‑check that any plants you bring home are pet‑safe.

🍂Share a little time.   A walk, a playful moment, or an extra cuddle is a lovely way to include your pet in the celebration.

If your pet eats something potentially harmful, contact your veterinarian right away.

🧡Give thanks with love — not leftovers. 🧡
